June

Probably the biggest attraction of the sixth month is the traditional Rallye Italia Sardegna, which takes place in the first days of June in the north of the island and welcomes competitors from all over the world. Stages alternating off-road routes with city streets may vary from year to year, but tension, excitement and adrenaline always remain at the same high level.
A gastronomic experience is the tuna festival Girotonno on the island of San Pietro, in its only inhabited centre Carloforte. The four-day event presents food tastings, a competition of chefs from all over the world, concerts, stalls with craft and food products and trips that reveal not only the island’s hunting tradition, but also its most impressive corners.
Those who decide to explore the Sardinian inland this month can easily come across cherry festivals in local villages, taste prestigious wines at the Bosa Wine Festival in the city of Bosa in the west of the island, or watch the Giorgio Armani Superyacht regatta on the Emerald Coast.
The air temperature reaches a very pleasant 28 degrees in June, hotels all over the island are already open and slowly preparing for the start of the high season.
