Sa Sartiglia

Sa Sartiglia traditionally takes place in the town of Oristano, in the west of the island. The three-day event is a tribute to equestrian art, where the main protagonists are the Su Componidori, knights dressed in traditional costumes, who try to impale a star suspended on a narrow sword while riding. In addition to the main races, it is possible to participate in the dressing up or, on the contrary, the undressing of knights, numerous equestrian acrobatic exhibitions and horse shows.
